Check the fit

Symbol counting searches rendered PDFs, including clear scans, for shapes at similar sizes (±10%) and quarter-turn rotations. Each count supports up to 200 matches; use smaller sheet groups for larger counts. Similar shapes can carry different type labels, so check labels, legends, existing work and missing items before saving. Separate new work, existing items and removals; existing items stay outside pricing.
Use a PDF of 25 sheets or fewer to try the complete workflow free. For larger uploads, preview the PDF and choose up to 25 pages to process on the free project; a partial plan cannot be finalized as an estimate. Saved symbol counts and selected-sheet schedules can be exported separately. Continuing costs $299 USD per workspace per month.

Does Metruno count every electrical item automatically?
No. You choose an example symbol and the sheets to search. Metruno finds similar shapes; you check labels, review matches and add missing items. Conductors and raceways are not measured automatically.
Can I use scanned drawings?
Metruno searches rendered PDFs, including clear scans. Poor scans, changed shapes and larger size differences may need a separate selection or manual counting. Matching supports similar sizes, approximately ±10%, and quarter-turn rotations.
Can I open the quantities in Excel?
Yes. Download saved symbol counts as CSV and open the file in Excel. Each object retains its drawing, page, scope, review state and location. Excluded objects have zero quantity; existing items stay outside pricing. Symbol-count CSVs contain no prices.
How many matches can one count include?
Up to 200 matches per count. Use smaller sheet groups for larger counts and review the scope before combining results.
What can I try for free?
Your first project can process up to 25 selected sheets without a card. Use a PDF of 25 sheets or fewer for a complete free-project estimate. You can select 25 pages from a larger supported PDF and export saved counts, but a partially processed plan set cannot be finalized as a complete estimate.
